The process for getting yourself set-up properly and legally to manufacturer and sell off road vehicles such as dirt bikes, ATVs, go-karts, snowmobiles, quads, etc. is similar to the licensing process for manufacturing street motorcycles and trailers although is is more expensive

In addition to the standard fee for the license application process there is an additional $1,000 initiation fee and also there is a recurring annual renewal fee of $500. Sorry, I do not make these rules and fees.

Also, you need to be aware that the various states may provide various hassles and headaches to your customers in the process of registering any off-road vehicles and in getting them accepted to be used them on their public lands. There is simply no way to figure out what problems your customers may run in to with different state governments and recreation officers, game wardens, etc. It is advisable to check with your state where most of your customers may be in order to get a handle on these possible problems. Any questions any states may ask you will or your customers will start with confirming that you have completed this licensing process.
